Surah 14. Ibrahim, Ayah 42
| وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ |
| Transliteration | : | wa- laa tah.sabanna 'allaah ghaafil(an) can maa yacmal az.- z.aalimon 'inna-maa yu'akhkhir -hum li- yawm tashkhas. fe -hi al- abs.aar |
| Pickthall | : | Deem not that Allah is unaware of what the wicked do. He but giveth them a respite till a day when eyes will stare (in terror). |
| Asad | : | AND DO NOT think that God is unaware of what the evildoers are doing: He but grants them respite until the Day when their eyes will stare in horror,55 |
| Malik | : | Never think that Allah is unaware of what these unjust people are doing. He is only deferring their case to that Day when their eyes will be fixedly open, |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Think not that Allah doth not heed the deeds of those who do wrong. He but giveth them respite against a Day when the eyes will fixedly stare in horror |
