Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 193
| وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلَّهِ ۖ فَإِنِ انْتَهَوْا فَلَا عُدْوَانَ إِلَّا عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Transliteration | : | wa- qaatilo -hum h.attaa laa takon fitnah wa- yakon ad- den li- 'allaah fa- 'in intahaw fa- laa cudwaan 'illaa calaa az.- z.aalimen |
| Pickthall | : | And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers. |
| Asad | : | Hence, fight against them until there is no more oppression and all worship is devoted to God alone;170 but if they desist, then all hostility shall cease, save against those who [wilfully] do wrong. |
| Malik | : | Fight against them until there is no more disorder and Allah's supremacy is established. If they desist, let there be no hostility except against the oppressors. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression and there prevail justice and faith in Allah; but if they cease let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. 207 208 |
