Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 86
| أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالْآخِرَةِ ۖ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ |
| Transliteration | : | 'olaa'ika 'alladhena ishtaraw al- h.ayaah ad- dunyaa bi- al- 'aakhirah fa- laa yukhaffaf can -hum al- cadhaab wa- laa hum yuns.aron |
| Pickthall | : | Such are those who buy the life of the world at the price of the Hereafter: Their punishment will not be lightened, neither will they have support. |
| Asad | : | All who buy the life of this world at the price of the life to come - their suffering shall not be lightened, nor shall they be succoured! |
| Malik | : | Such are the people who trade the life of this world at the expense of the Hereafter; so neither their punishment shall be lightened nor shall they be helped. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | These are the people who buy the life of this world at the price of the Hereafter; their penalty shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped. |
