Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 92
| ۞ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مُوسَىٰ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَنْتُمْ ظَالِمُونَ |
| Transliteration | : | wa- la- qad jaa'a -kum mosaa bi- al- bayyinaat thumma ittakhadhtum al- cijl min bacdi -hi wa- 'antum z.aalimon |
| Pickthall | : | And Moses came unto you with clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), yet,while he was away, ye chose the calf (for worship) and ye were wrongdoers. |
| Asad | : | And indeed, there came unto you Moses with all evidence of the truth - and thereupon, in his absence, you took to worshipping the [golden] calf, and acted wickedly. |
| Malik | : | Musa (Moses) came to you with clear Signs, no sooner was he away from you, then you committed evil by worshipping the calf. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | There came to you Moses with clear (Signs); yet ye worshipped the Calf (even) after that and ye did behave wrongfully. |
