وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ


Asad : and who are intent on inner purity;1
Khattab :

those who pay alms-tax;1

Malik : who are punctual in the payment of Zakah (charity),
Pickthall : And who are payers of the poor due;
Yusuf Ali : Who are active in deeds of charity;
Transliteration : Waallatheena hum lilzzakati faAAiloona

Asad 1 Lit., "working for" or "active in behalf of [inner] purity", which is the meaning of zakah in this context (Zamakhshari; the same interpretation has been advanced by Abu Muslim).

 Zakâh means purification and growth. Paying alms-tax and charity are forms of purifying one’s wealth.
