Surah 23. Al-Muminun, Ayah 44
| ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَىٰ ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِقَوْمٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Transliteration | : | thumma arsalnaa rusul -naa tatraa kulla-maa jaa'a 'ummah rasol -haa kadhdhabo -hu fa- atbacnaa bacd. -hum bacd.(an) wa- jacalnaa -hum ah.aadeth fa- bucd(an) li- qawm laa yu'minon |
| Pickthall | : | Then We sent our messengers one after another. Whenever its messenger came unto a nation they denied him; so We caused them to follow one another (to disaster) and We made them bywords. A far removal for folk who believe not! |
| Asad | : | And We sent forth Our apostles, one after another: [and] every time their apostle came to a community, they gave him the lie: and so We caused them to follow one another [into the grave], and let them become [mere] tales: and so - away with the folk who, would not believe! |
| Malik | : | - and sent forth Our Rasools one after another: every time a Rasool came to his people, they disbelieved him, so We punished them one by one and made them a history; so gone is the nation of disbelievers. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Then sent We Our apostles in succession: every time there came to a people their apostle they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): so away with a people that will not believe! 2902 |
