قَدْ كَانَتْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُونَ


Asad : Time and again37 were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels
Khattab :

Indeed, My revelations were recited to you, but you used to back away ˹in disgust˺,

Malik : My revelations were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels
Pickthall : My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels,
Yusuf Ali : "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you but ye used to turn back on your heels
Transliteration : Qad kanat ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum AAala aAAqabikum tankisoona
Transliteration : Qad kanat ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum AAala aAAqabikum tankisoona
