إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ


Asad : when their brother Shutayb74 said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God?
Khattab :

when Shu’aib said to them,1 “Will you not fear ˹Allah˺?

Malik : Remember Shu'aib asked them: "Have you no fear of Allah?
Pickthall : When Shueyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)?
Yusuf Ali : Behold Shuaib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 3215
Transliteration : Ith qala lahum shuAAaybun ala tattaqoona

 Unlike other prophets in this sûrah who are identified as the brothers of fellow tribesmen, Shu’aib is not identified as the brother of the people of the Aykah (which is the name of the forest where they used to worship a particular tree) because they are identified by faith, rather than a tribal connection.
