قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْءٍ مُبِينٍ

Asad : Said he: "Even if I should bring about before thee something that clearly shows the truth?"18
Khattab :

Moses responded, “Even if I bring you a clear proof?”

Malik : At this, Musa said: "What if I show you a convincing sign?"
Pickthall : He said: Even though I show thee something plain?
Yusuf Ali : (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 3156
Transliteration : Qala awalaw jituka bishayin mubeenin

Yusuf Ali 3156 The Egyptians were addicted to magic and sorcery. If a true miracle were shown to them, would they believe? Perhaps they would see the hollowness of their own magic. In fact this actually happened with the Egyptian sorcerers themselves and perhaps with the commonalty. But Pharaoh and his Court were too arrogant to accept Moses's religion.
