Al-Quran Grammar      Prev      Go   Next

Asad : [But,] behold, as for those who are bent on denying the truth - neither their worldly possessions nor their children will in the least avail them against God: and it is they who are destined for the fire, therein to abide.
Khattab :

Indeed, neither the wealth nor children of the disbelievers will be of any benefit to them against Allah. It is they who will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.

Malik : Surely for those who are unbelievers, neither their wealth nor their children shall in the least protect them from the wrath of Allah; they will be the inmates of hellfire and live therein forever.
Pickthall : Lo! the riches and the progeny of those who disbelieve will not avail them aught against Allah; and such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein.
Yusuf Ali : Those who reject faith neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah; they will be companions of the fire dwelling therein (for ever). 438
Transliteration : Inna allatheena kafaroo lan tughniya AAanhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina Allahi shayan waolaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona
