Surah 3. Al-i'Imran, Ayah 30
| يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مُحْضَرًا وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ سُوءٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُ أَمَدًا بَعِيدًا ۗ وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ رَءُوفٌ بِالْعِبَادِ |
| Transliteration | : | yawm tajid kull nafs maa camilat min khayr muh.d.ar(an) wa- maa camilat min so' tawadd law 'anna bayna -haa wa- bayna -hu 'amad(an) baced(an) wa- yuh.adhdhir -kum 'allaah nafs -hu wa- 'allaah ra'of bi- al- cibaad |
| Pickthall | : | On the day when every soul will find itself confronted with all that it hath done of good and all that it hath done of evil (every soul) will long that there might be a mighty apace of distance between it and that (evil). Allah biddeth you beware of Him. And Allah is full of pity for (His) bondmen. |
| Asad | : | On the Day when every human being will find himself faced with all the good that he has done, and with all the evil that he has done, [many a one] will wish that there were a long span of time between himself and that [Day]. Hence, God warns you to beware of Him; but God is most compassionate towards His creatures. |
| Malik | : | He knows whatever is in the Heavens and whatever is in the Earth. Allah has full power over everything. On the Day of Judgement, when every soul will be confronted with whatever good it has done - as for its evil deeds, it will wish they were a long way off. Allah warns you to have His fear. Allah is full of kindness for His devotees. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | "On the day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done and all the evil it has done it will wish there were a great distance between it and its evil. But Allah cautions you (to remember) Himself. And Allah is full of kindness to those that serve Him. |
