Surah 33. Al-Ahzab, Ayah 36

Transliteration : wa- maa kaana li- mu'min wa- laa mu'minah 'idhaa qad.aa 'allaah wa- rasol -hu 'amr(an) 'an yakon la- -hum al- khiyarah min 'amr -him wa- man yacs.i 'allaah wa- rasol -hu fa- qad d.alla d.alaal(an) muben(an)
Pickthall : And it becometh not a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His messenger have decided an affair (for them), that they should (after that) claim any say in their affair; and whoso is rebellious to Allah and His messenger, he verily goeth astray in error manifest.
Asad : Now whenever God and His Apostle have decided a matter,40 it is not for a believing man or a believing woman to claim freedom of choice insofar as they themselves are concerned:41 for he who [thus] rebels against God and His Apostle has already, most obviously, gone astray.
Malik : It is not fitting for a believing man or a believing woman to have an option in their affairs when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Rasool; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Rasool has indeed strayed into a clearly wrong path.
Yusuf Ali : It is not fitting for a Believer man or woman when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Apostle to have any option about their decision: if anyone disobeys Allah and His Apostle he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path. 3721

Yusuf Ali 3721 We must not put our own wisdom in competition with Allah's wisdom. Allah's decree is often known to us by the logic of facts. We must accept it loyally, and do the best we can to help in our own way to carry it out. We must make our will consonant to the Allah's Will.
