Surah 37. As-Saffat, Ayah 98
| فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ |
| Transliteration | : | fa- araado bi- -hi kayd(an) fa- jacalnaa -hum al- asfalen |
| Pickthall | : | And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. |
| Asad | : | But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low 36 |
| Malik | : | Thus did they scheme against him: but We humiliated them in their scheme. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | (This failing) they then sought a stratagem against him but We made them the ones most humiliated! 4094 |

Note - 4094Cf. xxi. 71. Their plot against the righteous Abraham
failed. Abraham migrated from the country (Chaldea,
Babylon, and Assyria) and prospered in Syria and
Palestine. It was his persecutors that suffered
humiliation.
