Surah 5. Al-Maida, Ayah 109
| ۞ يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ |
| Transliteration | : | yaa 'ayyuhaa 'alladhena 'aamano shahaadah bayna -kum 'idhaa h.ad.ara 'ah.ad -kum al- mawt h.ena al- was.eyah ithnaan dhawaa cadl min -kum 'aw 'aakharaan min ghayr -kum 'in 'antum d.arabtum fe al- 'ard. fa- as.aabat -kum mus.ebah al- mawt tah.bison -humaa min bacdi as.- s.alaah fa- yuqsimaan bi- 'allaah 'in irtabtum laa nashtare bi- -hi thaman(an) wa- law kaana dhaa qurbaa wa- laa naktum shahaadah 'allaah 'in(na) -naa 'idhan la- min al- 'aathimen |
| Pickthall | : | In the day when Allah gathereth together the messengers, and saith: What was your response (from mankind)? they say: We have no knowledge. Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Knower of Things Hidden. |
| Asad | : | ON THE DAY when God shall assemble all the apostles and shall ask, "What response did you receive?" - they will answer, "We have no knowledge; verily, it is Thou alone who fully knowest all the things that are beyond the reach of a created being's perception."130 |
| Malik | : | On the Day of Resurrection when Allah gathers the Rasools and asks: "What response were you given from your addressees?" They will say: "We have no knowledge, only You have all the knowledge of the unseen." |
| Yusuf Ali | : | One day will Allah gather the apostles together and ask: "What was the response ye received (from men to your teaching)? They will say: "We have no knowledge: it is thou who knowest in full all that is hidden. 814 |
