فَلَوْلَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ


Asad : why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us],
Khattab :

Now, if you are not subject to Our Will ˹as you claim˺,

Malik : Then why do you not - if you claim you are not subject to reckoning
Pickthall : Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us),
Yusuf Ali : Then why do you not if you are exempt from (future) account 5265
Transliteration : Falawla in kuntum ghayra madeeneena
