Surah 57. Al-Hadid, Ayah 29
| لِئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ |
| Transliteration | : | li- 'an laa yaclam 'ahl al- kitaab 'an laa yaqdiron calaa shay' min fad.l 'allaah wa- 'anna al- fad.l bi- yad 'allaah yu'te -hi man yashaa' wa- 'allaah dho al- fad.l al- caz.em |
| Pickthall | : | That the People of the Scripture may know that they control naught of the bounty of Allah, but that the bounty is in Allah's hand to give to whom He will. And Allah is of infinite bounty. |
| Asad | : | And the followers of earlier revelation should know52 that they have no power whatever over any of God's bounty,53 seeing that all bounty is in God's hand [alone]: He grants it unto whomever He wills for God is limitless in His great bounty. |
| Malik | : | You should adopt this way so that the people of the Book may know that they do not have the sole right to the grace of Allah, and that His grace is entirely in His own hands, which He bestows on whomever He wills: and Allah is the Owner of mighty grace. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | That the People of the Book may know that they have no power whatever over the Grace of Allah that (His) Grace is (entirely) in his hand to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. For Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding. 5329 |
