وَذَرُوا ظَاهِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ الْإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا يَقْتَرِفُونَ


Asad : But abstain from sinning,105 be it open or secret - for, behold, those who commit sins shall be requited for all that they have earned.
Khattab :

Shun all sin—open and secret. Indeed, those who commit sin will be punished for what they earn.

Malik : Eschew all sin whether open or secret: surely those who earn sin will get due punishment for their wrongdoings.
Pickthall : Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they have earned.
Yusuf Ali : Eschew all sin open or secret: those who earn sin will get due recompense for their "earnings."
Transliteration : Watharoo thahira alithmi wabatinahu inna allatheena yaksiboona alithma sayujzawna bima kanoo yaqtarifoona

Asad 105 This injunction connects with verse {118}, thus: "Eat, then, of that over which God's name has been pronounced ..., but abstain from sinning" - i.e., "do not go beyond that which God has made lawful to you".
