And if God should touch thee with misfortune, there is none who could remove it but He; and if He should touch thee with good fortune - it is He who has the power to will anything:
  - Mohammad Asad
If Allah afflicts you with any harm, none can relieve you other than Him; and if He blesses you with happiness, you should know that He has power over everything.
  - Muhammad Farooq-i-Azam Malik
If Allah touches you with harm, none can undo it except Him. And if He touches you with a blessing, He is Most Capable of everything.
  - Mustafa Khattab
If Allah touch thee with affliction, there is none that can relieve therefrom save Him, and if He touch thee with good fortune (there is none that can impair it); for He is Able to do all things.
  - Marmaduke Pickthall
"If Allah touch thee with affliction none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness He hath power over all things. 849
  - Abdullah Yusuf Ali

The vulgar worship of false gods out of fear that they would harm them or hope that they would confer some benefit on them. These false gods can do neither. All power, all goodness is in the hands of the One True God. All else is pretence or illusion.
