Al-Quran Surah 70. Al-Ma'arij, Ayah 39

كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ

Asad : Never! For, behold, We have created them out of something that they know [only too well]!16
Khattab :

But no! Indeed, they ˹already˺ know what We created them from.1

Malik : By no means! Surely, We have created them out of that what they (unbelievers) know.
Pickthall : Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know.
Yusuf Ali : By no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know! 5699
Transliteration : Kalla inna khalaqnahum mimma yaAAlamoona

Asad 16 Namely, out of "dust", - i.e., out of the same primitive organic and inorganic substances as are found in and on the earth: the implication being that only spiritual consciousness and endeavour can raise man above the mere material form of his existence, and thus enable him to achieve the inner fulfilment metaphorically described here as "a garden of bliss".

Yusuf Ali 5699 The animal part of man is nothing to be proud of, and they know it. It is by spiritual effort, and long preparation through a good life that a man can rise above the mere animal part of him to his high dignity as a spiritual being, and his noble destiny in the Hereafter.
