لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُعْتَدُونَ


Asad : respecting no tie and no protective obligation with regard to a believer; and it is they, they who transgress the bounds of what is right!16
Khattab :

They do not honour the bonds of kinship or treaties with the believers. It is they who are the transgressors.

Malik : They neither honor the ties of relationship nor observe the obligations of treaties with the believers; it is they who are the transgressors.
Pickthall : And they observe toward a believer neither pact nor honor. These are they who are transgressors.
Yusuf Ali : In a believer they respect not the ties either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who have transgressed all bounds. 1258
Transliteration : La yarquboona fee muminin illan wala thimmatan waolaika humu almuAAtadoona

Yusuf Ali 1258 The catalogue of their sins being set out, it is clear that they were aggressors in the worst possible ways; and war became inevitable.
