وَحَدَّثَنِى أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِى مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ أَنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَبِى أَحْمَدَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِىَّ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُحَاقَلَةِ. وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ اشْتِرَاءُ الثَّمَرِ فِى رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ. وَالْمُحَاقَلَةُ كِرَاءُ الأَرْضِ.
Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) forbade Muzabanah and Muhaqalah. Muzabanah means buying dates on the tops of the palm trees and Muhaqalah means leasing out land."
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."

"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."

"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
