Whatever you are given is nothing but a provision for thetransitory life of this world, better and ever lasting is thereward which Allah has for those who believe, put their trust intheir Rabb,

avoid major sins and shameful deeds, forgive even when they areangry;

If you really want to see the signs of Allah, just look at anyanimal that walks upon the earth and any bird that flies in theair; they too are the communities like you. We have not left outanything from the Book in determining the courses of their lives.They all shall be gathered before their Rabb.

You are forbidden to eat the meat of any animal that dies byitself (dead body), blood, the flesh of swine (pork) and that onwhich any name other than Allah has been invoked; also that whichis strangled to death , killed by a violent blow, killed by aheadlong fall and of those beaten or gored to death; and thatwhich has been partly eaten by a wild animal unless you are ableto slaughter it before its death; also that which is sacrificedon altars or is divided by raffling of arrows. All these aresinful acts. Today the unbelievers have given up all their hopeof vanquishing your religion. Have no fear of them, fear Me.Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favorupon you and approved Al-Islam as a Deen (way of life for you).Anyone who is compelled by hunger to eat what is forbidden, notintending to commit sin, will find Allah Forgiving, Merciful.

O believers! Fulfil your contract obligations. Allfour-legged animals from livestock are lawful to you other thanthose which are hereby announced. However do not violate theprohibition of hunting while you are in Ihram (Hajj dress).Indeed Allah orders whatever He pleases.

We have included the sacrificial camels among the Symbols ofAllah, for there is much good for you in them. Therefore,pronounce the name of Allah over them while standing, and whenthey fall down on their sides after slaughter, when theirmovement completely stops, then eat of their meat, feed thecontented (poor who do not ask) and the beggars (poor who ask).Thus We have subjected these animals to you so that you may begrateful.

O believers! Do not violate the sanctity of the Symbols of Allah:the Sacred Month , the animals brought for sacrifice, thegarlands that mark such animals, and those people visiting theSacred House (Ka'bah) to seek the grace and good pleasure oftheir Rabb. When you put off your Ihram (pilgrimage is over) thenyou are allowed to hunt. Let not the hatred of some people - whoonce hindered you from the Sacred Mosque - incite you to committransgression. Cooperate with one another in righteousness andpiety, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression. Have fearof Allah. Allah is stern in punishment.

It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; itis your piety that reaches Him. Thus, He has subjected theseanimals to you so that you may glorify Allah for giving youguidance, and O Prophet, give good news to those who do good toothers.

Surely those who annoy Allah and His Rasool, are cursed by Allahin this world and in the hereafter. He has prepared for them ahumiliating punishment.

You very well know the story of those of you who transgressed inthe matter of the Sabbath; We ordered them: "Be detested apes".

But when after that they persisted in their forbidden ways, Wesaid to them: "Be detested apes."

Those who turn back to unbelief after the guidance has becomeclear are seduced by Shaitan who gives them false hopes.

O Children of Adam! Put on your adornment (decent proper dress)when you attend your Masjid at the time of every prayer. Eat anddrink, but do not be extravagant; surely He does not love theextravagant.

O believers! Fear Allah and seek the means to be closer to Himand make Jihad (struggle) in His Way so that you may besuccessful.

It is made lawful for you to approach your wives during the nightof the fast; they are an apparel for you and you for them. Allahknows that you were committing dishonesty to your souls. So Hehas relented towards you and pardoned you. Now, you may approachyour wives and seek what Allah has written for you. Eat and drinkuntil the white thread of dawn appears to you distinct from theblack thread of night, then complete your fast till nightfall. Donot approach your wives during I'htikaf (retreat in the mosquesin last ten days of Ramadhan). These are the limits set by Allah:do not ever violate them. Thus Allah makes His revelations clearto mankind so that they may guard themselves against evil.

If you fear a breach of marriage between a man and his wife,appoint one arbiter from his family and another from hers; ifthey wish to reconcile, Allah will create a way of reconciliationbetween them. Allah is the Knowledgeable, Aware.

As for those who rejected the Divine Revelations, there have beenmany examples before you; therefore, travel through the earth andsee what was the end of those who rejected the truth.

O Muhammad, say: "Travel through the earth and see what was theend of those who denied the truth."

We let loose rain of brimstone and every one of them was killed;see what was the outcome for such criminals.

Then after them, We sent Musa (Moses) with Our revelations toFir'on (Pharaoh) and his chiefs but they too treated Ourrevelations unjustly, so see what was the end of thosemischief-makers.

But they disbelieved him. As a result, We saved him and those ofthem who were with him in the Ark and We made them successors inthe Earth and drowned those who rejected Our revelations. You seewhat was the end of those who were warned but did not believe!

All the Rasools that We sent before you, O Muhammad, were humanbeings, to whom We sent Our Revelations after choosing them fromthe people of their town. Have these unbelievers not traveledthrough the land and seen what was the end of those who passedaway before them? From their destiny you should know that thehome of the hereafter is better for those who are righteous. Whydon't you understand?

No doubt We raised in every nation a Rasool, saying: "Serve Allahand keep away from Taghut (Satanic forces)." After that, Allahguided some of them while deviation proved true against theothers. So travel through the earth and see what was the end ofthose who denied Our Message.

They were convinced in their hearts about the truth of thosemiracles, yet they denied those signs in their wickedness andpride. So you see, what was the end of those transgressors.

Just see what was the outcome of their plot! We annihilated themcompletely, together with all their people.

Say: "Travel through the earth and see what has been the end ofthe criminals."

Have they not traveled through the earth and seen what was theend of those before them? They were superior in strength thanthese; they tilled the soil and built on it more than these haveever built. There came to them their Rasools with clear signs(but they rejected them to the detriment of their owndestruction): it was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wrongedtheir own souls.

O Prophet, tell them: "Travel through the earth and see what wasthe end of those who have passed away before you: most of themwere mushrikin (worshipped other gods besides Allah)".

Have they not traveled through the land and see what was the endof those who went before them, who were far superior in strengththan these people? There is nothing in the heavens or in theearth which can frustrate Allah; surely He is All-Knowing,All-Powerful.

See what was the end of those who had been forewarned: they allperished,

Have they not travelled through the land and seen what was theend of those who have gone before them? They were far greater inpower than these and left great traces in the land: but Allahseized them for their sins and there was none to protect themfrom Allah.

Have they never travelled through the earth and seen what was theend of those who have gone before them? They were more in numberand superior in strength than these and they have left behindgreat traces of their power in the land; yet all that they didwas of no avail to them.

Have they not traveled through the land and see what was the endof those who have gone before them? Allah destroyed them utterlyand a similar fate awaits these unbelievers.

Remember how you were made the heirs of 'Ad and settled in theland, capable of building mansions in the valleys and carving outhomes in the mountains. Therefore, remember the favors of Allahand do not spread mischief in the land."

Are you erecting a monument on every high place for fun?

- Then she was asked to enter the palace. When she saw its floor,she thought that there was pool of water, so she tucked up herskirts uncovering her legs. Sulaiman said. "This is just a glossypaving of this palace." At this she exclaimed: "O my Rabb! I haveindeed wronged my soul, now I submit myself in Islam withSulaiman to Allah, the Rabb of the Worlds."

The residents of Iram, the city of lofty pillars,

Call people to the Way of your Rabb with wisdom and best advice,and reason with them, if you have to, in the most courteousmanner: for your Rabb knows best who strays from His Way and Heknows best who is rightly guided.

We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he lived among them athousand years less fifty. Then because of their wrongdoings theflood overtook them.

But We delivered him and all who were in the ark and We made thatark a sign for the peoples of the world.

So We opened the gates of heaven with pouring rain

and caused the earth to burst with gushing springs, and thewaters met to fulfill the decreed end.

We carried him in an Ark built with planks and nails,

which drifted on under Our care: a reward for him (Noah) who wasdenied by the unbelievers.

We have left that Ark as a sign, so is there any who would takeadmonition?
