حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ قَالَ لَمَّا ادُّعِيَ زِيَادٌ لَقِيتُ أَبَا بَكْرَةَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي صَنَعْتُمْ؟ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعَ أُذُنَايَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ مَنْ ادَّعَى أَبًا فِي الْإِسْلَامِ غَيْرَ أَبِيهِ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ غَيْرُ أَبِيهِ فَالْجَنَّةُ عَلَيْهِ حَرَامٌ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
It was narrated that Abu 'Uthman said: "When Ziyad was attributed (to someone who was not his father), I met Abu Bakrah and said to him: 'What is this that you have done? I heard Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas say: 'My own two ears heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: 'Whoever claims after having become Muslim to belong to someone who is not his father, knowing that he is not his father, Paradise will be forbidden to him.' Abu Bakrah said: 'I also beard it from the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)."'
