Sahih Muslim Book - 11, Hadith - 2193
حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ حَازِمٍ - حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ قَالَ قِيلَ لاِبْنِ عُمَرَ إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِنَ الأَجْرِ ». فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَكْثَرَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ. فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا فَصَدَّقَتْ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَقَدْ فَرَّطْنَا فِى قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَةٍ.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "Whoever offers the funeral prayer will have one Qirat and whoever follows (the funeral) until (the deceased) is placed in the grave, he will have two Qirat." He (the narrator) said: "I said: 'O Abu Hurairah, what is a Qirat?' He said: 'Like Uhud (mountain)."'
