It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas that he said: “Ali-Fadl bin ‘Abbas was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and a woman of Khath’am came to him to ask him a question. Al-Fadl started looking at her and she at him, and the Messenger of Allah turned Al-Fadl’s face to the other side. She said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, the obligation of Hajj has come while my father is an old man who cannot sit firmly on his mount. Can I perform Hajj' on his behalf?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ That was during the Farewell Pilgrimage.”
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."
Sunan Ibn Mājah
"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
Sahih Bukhari
