وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِى بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنِى نُبَيْهُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ بَعَثَنِى عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ وَكَانَ يَخْطُبُ بِنْتَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَلَى ابْنِهِ فَأَرْسَلَنِى إِلَى أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمَوْسِمِ فَقَالَ أَلاَ أُرَاهُ أَعْرَابِيًّا « إِنَّ الْمُحْرِمَ لاَ يَنْكِحُ وَلاَ يُنْكَحُ ». أَخْبَرَنَا بِذَلِكَ عُثْمَانُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-.
Nubaih. bin Wahb said: "'Umar bin 'Ubaidullah bin Ma'mar, who had proposed the marriage of his son to the daughter of Shaibah bin 'Uthman, sent me to Aban bin 'Uthman who was in charge of the Hajj. He said: 'I regard him as no more than a Bedouin, for; "The Muhrim should not get married nor have a marriage arranged for him." 'Uthman narrated that to us from the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w).'"
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
