It was narrated from Ibn Muhairiz that he said: "Abu Sirmah and I entered upon Abu Sa'eed Al-Kbudri, and Abu Sirmah asked him: 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) speak about 'Azl?' He said: 'Yes. We went on a campaign with the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) to Banu Al-Mustaliq, and we captured some noble Arab women. We had been away from our wives for too long, but we also wanted the ransom, so we wanted to have intercourse with them then withdraw (coitus interruptus). Then we said: "How could we do this when the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) is among us, and we have not asked him?:' So we asked the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for Allah has not decreed that any soul will exist, until the Day of Resurrection, but it will come into being.'"
