Sahih Muslim Book - 16, Hadith - 3548
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِى ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ ح وَحَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِىٍّ وَبَهْزٌ قَالُوا جَمِيعًا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِى حَدِيثِهِمْ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ فِى الْعَزْلِ « لاَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا ذَاكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ الْقَدَرُ ». وَفِى رِوَايَةِ بَهْزٍ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ قُلْتُ لَهُ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَبِى سَعِيدٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ.
A similar report (as no. 3546) was narrated from Anas bin Sirin with this chain, except that in their Hadith it says: "From the Prophet (s.a.w) who said concerning 'Azl: 'It does not matter if you do not do it, for it is only the Divine Decree (that decides)."' According to the report of Bahz, Shu'bah said: "I said to him: 'Did you hear it from Abu Sa'eed?' He said: 'Yes."'
