قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَأَنَا أُحَدِّثُهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ الْوُضُوءِ مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ؟ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ.
Ibn Shihab said: "Sa'eed bin Khalid bin 'Amr bin 'Uthman told me, when I narrated this Hadith (no. 788) to him, that he asked 'Urwah bin Az-Zubair about performing Wudu' for that which has been touched by fire. 'Urwah said: 'I heard 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet (s.a.w), say: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Perform Wudu' for that which has been touched by fire."'
