وحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ: حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِلأَسْوَدِ: هَلْ سَأَلْتَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَمَّا يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِيهِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ ، قُلْتُ: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَخْبِرِينِي عَمَّا نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِيهِ ، قَالَتْ: نَهَانَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ أَنْ نَنْتَبِذَ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ. قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ: أَمَا ذَكَرَتِ الْحَنْتَمَ وَالْجَرَّ ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا أُحَدِّثُكَ بِمَا سَمِعْتُ ، أَأُحَدِّثُكَ مَا لَمْ أَسْمَعْ ؟.
It was narrated that Ibrahim said: "I said to Al-Aswad: 'Did you ask the Mother of the Believers about what it is Makruh (undesirable, disliked) to make Nabidh in?' He said: 'Yes. I said: "O Mother of the Believers, tell me what the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) forbade making Nabidh in." She said: "He forbade us, the members of his household, to make Nabidh in gourds and Al-Muzaffat." He said: "I said to him: 'Did she not mention Al-Hantam and earthenware jars?' He said: 'I only tell you what I heard. Do you want me to tell you what I did not hear?"'
