حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَيْلِيُّ ، وَأَبُو طَاهِرٍ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ أَحْمَدُ : حَدَّثَنَا ، وقَالَ الآخَرَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ اسْتَجْمَرَ بِالأَلُوَّةِ ، غَيْرَ مُطَرَّاةٍ وَبِكَافُورٍ ، يَطْرَحُهُ مَعَ الأَلُوَّةِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : هَكَذَا كَانَ يَسْتَجْمِرُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
It was narrated that Nafi said: “When Ibn ‘Umar perfumed himself with incense, he used aloes wood that was not mixed with anything, or he used camphor that he put with the aloes wood, then he said: ‘This is how the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) used to perfume himself with incense.”’
