وَحَدَّثَنِى حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْخَزَّازُ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِىٌّ - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِى سُلَيْمٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقُصِرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) prayed two Rak'ah of Zuhr, then he said the Taslim. A man from Banu Sulaim came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened or did you forget?" ...and he quoted the same Hadith (as no. 1290).
