وَحَدَّثَنِى سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ بِلاَلٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا دَحَضَتْ فَلاَ يُقِيمُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَإِذَا خَرَجَ أَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ.
It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said: "Bilal used to call the Adhan when the sun had passed its zenith, but he did not call the Iqamah until the Prophet (s.a.w) came out, when he came out he would call the Iqamah for prayer whenever he saw him."
