It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Sarjis said: "A man entered the Masjid while the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) was praying Al-Ghadah (Fajr), and he prayed two Rak'ah at the side of the Masjid, then he joined the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) (in prayers). When the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said the Salam, he said: 'O so-and-so! Which of the two prayers did you count as the obligatory prayer, your prayer on your own or your prayer with us?"'
