Sahih Muslim Book - 6, Hadith - 1725
وَحَدَّثَنِى زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنِى يَحْيَى بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْحَرِيرِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ سَلاَّمٍ - عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِى كَثِيرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِى أَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ صَلاَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-. بِمِثْلِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِى حَدِيثِهِمَا تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَائِمًا يُوتِرُ مِنْهُنَّ.
Abu Salamah narrated that he asked 'Aishah about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)... a similar report (as no. 1724, but with a different chain of narrators), except that in their Hadith it said: "nine Rak'ah standing, including Witr."
