Sahih Muslim Book - 6, Hadith - 1758
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِى مِجْلَزٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « الْوِتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ ».
It was narrated that Abu Mijlaz said: "I heard Ibn 'Umar narrating that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: 'Witr is one Rak'ah, at the end of the night.'"
