Sahih Muslim Book - 6, Hadith - 1942
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- صَلاَةَ الْخَوْفِ بِإِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَةً وَالطَّائِفَةُ الأُخْرَى مُوَاجِهَةُ الْعَدُوِّ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا وَقَامُوا فِى مَقَامِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ مُقْبِلِينَ عَلَى الْعَدُوِّ وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِهِمُ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- ثُمَّ قَضَى هَؤُلاَءِ رَكْعَةً وَهَؤُلاَءِ رَكْعَةً.
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) offered the fear prayer, leading one of the two groups in one Rak'ah while the other group was facing the enemy. Then they left and took their companions' places, facing the enemy, and the others came, and the Prophet (s.a.w) led them in praying one Rak'ah. Then the Prophet (s.a.w) said the Taslim and each group made up one Rak'ah."
