6 : 145

O Muhammad tell them: I did not find in what has been revealed tome anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it,except the meat of an already dead animal, or running blood orthe flesh of swine (pork) - for these are unclean - or flesh ofan animal which has become profane because of slaughtering in thenames other than Allah. Even so, if anyone is forced in ahelpless situation, intending neither disobedience nortransgression, you will find your Rabb Forgiving, Merciful.

16 : 115

He has only forbidden you to eat carrion (meat of dead a body),blood, pork, and that over which any name other than Allah hasbeen invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, intendingneither to break the Divine Law nor to transgress limits, thensurely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

7 : 57

He is the One Who sends the winds bearing good news of Hisblessings, so when they lift up heavy clouds, We drive them alongto a dead countryside and make the rain fall upon it and bringforth all kinds of fruits from the same dead land. Likewise Wewill raise the dead to life; this example is given so that youmay learn a lesson from this observation.

Rain as a Sign of Allah, with

16 : 65

Allah sends down water from the sky, and with it gives life tothe land after it has been dead (this Qur'an is being sent toserve the same purpose). Surely in this example there is a signfor those who listen.

30 : 24

And of His signs is the showing of lightning, in which there isfear as well as hope, and He sends down rainwater from the skyand with it gives life to the earth after its death; surely thereare signs in this for those who use their common sense.

36 : 33

The dead land may serve as a sign for them; We give it life andproduce from it grain for them, which they eat.

36 : 34

We also produce from it gardens with date-palms and vines, and Wecause springs to gush forth from it.

36 : 35

So that they may enjoy the fruits thereof. It was not their handsthat made all this; should they not then give thanks?

14 : 5

We sent Musa with Our signs, saying: "Lead your people out ofutter darkness into light, and remind them to learn lessons fromthe Days of Allah (Divine history)." Surely there are signs inthis for every steadfast, thankful person.

Dead raised to life

Dead raised to life

6 : 36

Surely those who listen to Our revelations with open mind willaccept the Truth. As for the dead (those with closed minds),Allah will bring them back to life, on the Day of Judgement, tobe produced in His court.

Dealing

Evil, consequence of those dealing in

30 : 9

Have they not traveled through the earth and seen what was theend of those before them? They were superior in strength thanthese; they tilled the soil and built on it more than these haveever built. There came to them their Rasools with clear signs(but they rejected them to the detriment of their owndestruction): it was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wrongedtheir own souls.

30 : 10

Evil was the outcome for those who committed evil, rejected therevelations of Allah and kept ridiculing them!

Following lust of one's heart in dealing with justice

4 : 135

O believers! Stand firm for justice and bear true witness for thesake of Allah, even though it be against yourselves, your parentsor your relatives. It does not matter whether the party is richor poor - Allah is well wisher of both. So let not your selfishdesires swerve you from justice. If you distort your testimony ordecline to give it, then you should remember that Allah is fullyaware of your actions.

Half-hearted Believers, gently with

3 : 159

O Muhammad, it is a great Mercy of Allah that you are very gentlewith them; had you been rough or hard-hearted, they would havedeserted you. Therefore pardon them and ask Allah's forgivenessfor them. Consult them in the conduct of affairs; and when youmake a decision to do something, then put your trust in Allah(hold fast to your decision). Allah loves those who put theirtrust in Him.

O believers! Do not consume one another's wealth through unlawfulmeans; instead, do business with mutual consent; do not killyourselves by adopting unlawful means. Indeed Allah is Mercifulto you.

Sinfully in falsehood

45 : 7

Woe to each lying sinner

45 : 8

before whom the revelations of Allah are recited: he hears them, yet he arrogantly persists as though he never heard them;announce to him a painful punishment.

45 : 9

And when something of Our revelations come to his knowledge, hetakes them as a joke; for all such people there will be ahumiliating punishment.

45 : 10

Beyond them there lies hell, and nothing of what they have earnedin this world will be of any benefit to them, nor those whom theyhave taken as their protectors besides Allah, and they shall havegrievous punishment.

Dear and Close Ones

Caution regarding

64 : 14

O believers! Surely among your wives and your children there aresome who are your enemies: so beware of them. But if you pardon, overlook and forgive their faults, then know that Allah isForgiving, Merciful.

Death

by God's leave

3 : 145

No one dies without the permission of Allah. The term of everylife is fixed. He that desires the reward in this world shall begiven it here, and he that desires the reward in the hereaftershall be given it there. Soon We will reward the thankful.

inevitable

3 : 185

Every soul shall taste death. You shall receive your full rewardfor everything which you have striven for, on the Day ofResurrection. Whoever is spared from the fire and is admittedinto paradise will have attained the objective of this worldlylife; for the life of this world is nothing but an illusoryenjoyment.

4 : 78

As for death, no matter where you may be, death is going to reachyou even if you are in fortified towers. When such people areblessed with some benefit, they say: "This is from Allah;" but ifthey suffer a loss, they say: "this is because of you." OMuhammad tell them: "Everything is from Allah." What is thematter with these people that they do not understand a word?

Whoever is spared from the fire and is admittedinto paradise will have attained the objective of this worldlylife; for the life of this world is nothing but an illusoryenjoyment.

21 : 35

Every soul is bound to have the taste of death. We are puttingall of you to a test by passing you through bad and goodconditions, and finally you shall return to Us.

29 : 57

Every soul shall taste death, then to Us you shall all return.

confusion of the wicked

6 : 93

Who can be more wicked than the one who invents a lie againstAllah, or says: "This was revealed to me," while nothing wasrevealed to him? Or the one who says: "I can reveal the like ofwhat Allah has revealed?" If you could only see these wrongdoerswhen they are in the agonies of death and the angels stretchforth their hands saying, "Take out your soul! Today you will berewarded with a disgraceful punishment for saying falsehoodagainst Allah which you had no right to say and showing arroganceagainst His revelations!"

angels reproach Unbelievers

8 : 50

If you could only see the angels when they were taking away thesouls of the killed unbelievers! They were smiting their facesand their backs saying: "Taste the torment of the conflagration!

in death the transgressor will not die

14 : 17

he will sip, but never will be able to swallow. Death willsurround him from all sides, yet he will not die; beyond thatthere will be horrible punishment.

20 : 74

Surely he who will come to his Rabb as a sinner shall beconsigned to Hell - wherein he shall neither die nor live.

87 : 13

where he shall neither die nor live.

for righteous

16 : 30

On the other hand when the righteous people are asked: " What isit that your Rabb has revealed?" They say: "That which is thebest." Good is the reward for such righteous people in this worldand the home of the hereafter will be even better. How splendidwill be the home for the righteous

Why is it not then that when you see a dying person's soul comeup to his throat

Nay, when a man's soul is about to leave and reaches to thethroat,

sincere men flee not from death

62 : 6

Say to the Jews: "O you, the Jews! If you claim that you are thefavorites of Allah to the exclusion of other people, then wishfor death if what you say is true."

Death

Animal beaten to as unlawful food

5 : 3

You are forbidden to eat the meat of any animal that dies byitself (dead body), blood, the flesh of swine (pork) and that onwhich any name other than Allah has been invoked; also that whichis strangled to death , killed by a violent blow, killed by aheadlong fall and of those beaten or gored to death; and thatwhich has been partly eaten by a wild animal unless you are ableto slaughter it before its death; also that which is sacrificedon altars or is divided by raffling of arrows. All these aresinful acts. Today the unbelievers have given up all their hopeof vanquishing your religion. Have no fear of them, fear Me.Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favorupon you and approved Al-Islam as a Deen (way of life for you).Anyone who is compelled by hunger to eat what is forbidden, notintending to commit sin, will find Allah Forgiving, Merciful.

Body and soul in sleep and as a Sign of Allah

39 : 42

It is Allah Who recalls the souls of men upon their death, and ofthe living during their sleep. He withholds the souls of those onwhom He has passed the decree of death, and restores the resttill an appointed term. Surely there are signs in this for thosewho think.

Fearing

4 : 77

Have you not seen those who were told to restrain their handsfrom fighting, establish Salah (regular prayers) and pay Zakah(regular charity). Now when at length they are commanded tofight, lo! A group of them fear people as they should have fearedAllah, or even more than that, and say: "Our Rabb! Why have Youordered us to fight? Could you delay its implementation for awhile?" Tell them: "The enjoyment of this worldly life is short, life of the hereafter is much better for those who fear Allah, and rest assured that you will not be wronged equal to the fiberof a date-stone.

Fearing of in the Way of Allah

2 : 243

Have you reflected on the case of thousands of people(Israelites) who fled their homes for fear of death? Allah saidto them: "Die" (gave them death). Then He gave them life again.Surely Allah is bountiful to mankind, but most of the people areungrateful.

Flinching from on the battlefield

3 : 143

You certainly used to wish for death before you confronted it;now you have seen with your own eyes what it is like.

Repenting at the time of

4 : 18

There is no repentance for those who persist in their evil deedsuntil death approaches anyone of them and he says: "surely now Irepent." Similarly, there is no repentance for those who diewhile they were still unbelievers; for them We have prepared apainful punishment.

Reprieve after, no

63 : 10

Spend, in charity and in the Cause of Allah, out of thesustenance which We have bestowed on you before that time whendeath will come to anyone of you, and he shall say: "O my Rabb!If only you would reprieve me for a little while then I wouldgive out everything in charity, and be among the righteous."

63 : 11

But Allah reprieves no soul when its term comes to an end. Allahis well aware of all your actions.

Way of Allah, in the

3 : 156

O believers! Do not be like the unbelievers who speak of thosebrethren of theirs who die during their travels on the earth orwhile engaged in fighting: "Had they but stayed with us theywould not have died or been killed." Allah makes such thinking acause of regret and anguish in their hearts. It is Allah whogives life and death. Allah is observant of all your actions.

3 : 157

If you should die or get killed in the cause of Allah, Hisforgiveness and mercy will be far better than all the riches youcould gather.

3 : 158

Whether you die or get killed, all of you will be brought beforeAllah.

3 : 168

Such are the ones who, as they sat at home, said of theirbrothers: "Had they listened to us, they would not have beenkilled." Ask them: "Avert death from your own selves, when itcomes to you, if you speak the truth."

3 : 169

Never think of those who are slain in the cause of Allah as dead.Nay they are alive, and well provided for by their Rabb;

3 : 170

they are pleased with what Allah has given them and they are alsohappy to think that there is nothing to fear or to regret forthose believers whom they have left behind and who have not yetjoined them in their bliss.

3 : 171

They feel happy to have received Allah's grace and bounty andhave come to know that most surely Allah does not waste thereward of the believers.

3 : 195

So their Rabb answers their prayers, saying: " I will not let thegood deed of any worker among you, whether a male or a female, bewasted. You are the offspring of one another. Those who had toleave their homes or were expelled therefrom, and those whosuffered persecution for My sake and fought and were killed: Iwill forgive them their sins and admit them into gardens beneathwhich the rivers flow; a prize from Allah, and Allah holds thefinest prize!"

22 : 58

As for those who migrated for the sake of Allah and afterwardswere killed or died, Allah will make a generous provision forthem; certainly Allah is the One Who is the best Provider.

22 : 59

He will admit them to a place with which they shall be wellpleased; for Allah is All-Knowing, Most Lenient.

Death for Allah's Pleasure

Also forbidden for you are married women, except those who havefallen in your hands as prisoners of war. This is the order ofAllah relating to marriage prohibitions. All women other thanthese are lawful provided you seek them in marriage with giftsfrom your property (dowry), desiring chastity and not lust. If you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe to write downthe transaction, then transect your business by taking possessionof a pledge. If one of you entrust another with a pledge, let thetrustee deliver the pledged property to its owner, and let himfear Allah, his Rabb.
