Kids Qur'an
Allah knows what really is in their hearts; therefore, neglecttheir attitude, admonish them, and speak to them effectual wordswhich may go deep into their hearts.
They will say: "We are at your service!" Yet when they leave you, some of them meet together secretly at night to plot against whatyou have said. Allah notes down all their plots. Therefore, leavethem alone and put your trust in Allah. Allah is your allsufficient trustee.
Anyone who is hostile to the Rasool after guidance has beenplainly conveyed to him and follows a path other than that of thebelievers, We shall leave him in the path he has chosen and casthim into Hell; which is an evil refuge.
This is because they defied Allah and His Rasool. Whoever defiesAllah and His Rasool should know that Allah is strict inretribution,
that it is the reality, so taste it, and there will also be thetorture of hellfire for the unbelievers.
Don't they know that anyone who opposes Allah and His Rasoolshall live forever in the fire of hell? That surely is the worsthumiliation.
The unbelievers who obstruct others from the Way of Allah anddisputed the Rasool after the guidance has become clear to themshall in no way harm Allah; as a result, he will bring theirdeeds to nothing.
Those who resist Allah and His Rasool, shall be humiliated aswere those before them. We have sent down clear revelations; thedisbelievers shall have a humiliating punishment.
Those who resist Allah and His Rasool will be among the mosthumiliated.
Allah has decreed: "It is I and My Rasools who will mostcertainly prevail." Surely Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.
You will never find any people who believe in Allah and the lastDay on friendly terms with those who oppose Allah and His Rasool, even though they be their fathers, their sons, their brothers ortheir relatives. It is they in whose hearts Allah has inscribedfaith and has strengthened them with a spirit of His own. He willadmit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, to live thereinforever. Allah will be well pleased with them, and they will bewell pleased with Him. They are the party of Allah. Beware!Surely it is the party of Allah that will be successful.
It is He Who drove the disbelievers from among the People of theBook (reference is to the Jewish tribe of Banu Al-Nadir) out oftheir homes at the first banishment. You did not think that theywould ever go out; and they thought that their fortresses woulddefend them from Allah, but the wrath of Allah came to them fromwhere they never expected - which casted such terror into theirhearts - that they destroyed their homes by their own hands aswell as by the hands of the believers. So learn a lesson fromthis example! O the people of insight.
Had Allah not decreed exile for them, He would certainly havepunished them in this world, and in the hereafter there shall bethe punishment of the fire for them,
because they set themselves up against Allah and His Rasool; andhe that set himself up against Allah should know that Allah isstern in retribution.
How many townships have rebelled against the commandments oftheir Rabb and His Rasools! Stern was Our reckoning with them andexemplary was Our punishment.
So they tasted the fruit of their misdeeds, and the fruit oftheir misdeeds was perdition.
Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment in the Hereafter.Therefore, fear Allah! O men of understanding and faith. Allahhas indeed sent down to you an admonition;
There are others who built a Masjid for mischievous motives(Masjid-e-Zirar), to spread disbelief and to disunite thebelievers, and an outpost for one (Abu 'Amir) who had made waragainst Allah and His Rasool before. They will indeed swear thattheir intentions are nothing but good; but Allah declares thatthey are absolute liars.
You should never stand to offer Salah in it. Certainly the Masjidfounded on piety from the very first day is more deserving thatyou should stand to offer Salah in it; for in it there are menwho love to be purified; and Allah loves those who purifythemselves.
Who is a better person; he who lays the foundation of hisbuilding on piety to Allah and His good pleasure, or he who laysthe foundation of his building on an undermined bank that willtumble down with him into the fire of Hell? Allah does not guidesuch wrongdoers.
The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicionand shakiness in their hearts until their hearts are cut topieces. Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.
He created man from a drop of semen, yet he is an open contender.
And what reason do you have not to fight in the cause of Allah,to rescue the helpless oppressed old men, women, and children whoare crying: "Our Rabb! Deliver us from this town whose people areoppressors; send us a protector by Your grace and send us ahelper from Your presence?"
When the angels of death cause those people to die who havewronged their souls, they ask: "What was your condition?" Theyreply: "We were oppressed in the earth." The angels say: "Was notthe earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate and gosomewhere else?" Hell will be their abode and it is a very evilrefuge!
However, those helpless men, women and children who have neitherthe means to migrate nor strength to escape,
Allah may pardon them. Allah is the Pardoning, Forgiving.
Therefore, do not treat the orphan with harshness
Whatever you are given is nothing but a provision for thetransitory life of this world, better and ever lasting is thereward which Allah has for those who believe, put their trust intheir Rabb,
avoid major sins and shameful deeds, forgive even when they areangry;
answer the call of their Rabb, establish Salah, conduct theiraffairs with mutual consultation, spend out of the sustenancewhich We have given them,
and when they are oppressed, help and defend themselves.
So their Rabb answers their prayers, saying: " I will not let thegood deed of any worker among you, whether a male or a female, bewasted. You are the offspring of one another. Those who had toleave their homes or were expelled therefrom, and those whosuffered persecution for My sake and fought and were killed: Iwill forgive them their sins and admit them into gardens beneathwhich the rivers flow; a prize from Allah, and Allah holds thefinest prize!"
For those who migrated for the sake of Allah after persecution,We will certainly provide them a good abode in this life and thereward of the hereafter will be much greater, if they but knewwhat a happy end awaits
those who bear ills with patience and put their trust in theirRabb.
On the other hand, Allah is most surely forgiving andcompassionate towards those who had to leave their homes afterbeing persecuted because of their faith, struggled hard andremained steadfastly patient.
The blameworthy are those who oppress their fellow men andconduct themselves with wickedness and injustice in the land. Itis they who will have painful punishment.
Do you not see that Allah causes the night to pass into the dayand the day into the night, that He has subjected the sun and themoon to follow His law, each pursuing its course for an appointedterm, and that Allah is well aware of all your actions?
Surely, In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in thealternation of the night and the day, in the sailing of the shipsthrough the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain whichAllah sends down from the skies, with which He revives the earthafter its death and spreads in it all kinds of animals, in thechange of the winds and the clouds between the sky and the earththat are made subservient, there are signs for rational people.
and in the alternation of night and day, in the sustenance thatAllah sends down from heaven with which He revives the earthafter its death and in the changing of the winds, there are signsfor those who use their common sense.
It is not fitting for a believing man or a believing woman tohave an option in their affairs when a matter has been decided byAllah and His Rasool; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Rasoolhas indeed strayed into a clearly wrong path.
How many townships have rebelled against the commandments oftheir Rabb and His Rasools! Stern was Our reckoning with them andexemplary was Our punishment.
So they tasted the fruit of their misdeeds, and the fruit oftheir misdeeds was perdition.
Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment in the Hereafter.Therefore, fear Allah! O men of understanding and faith. Allahhas indeed sent down to you an admonition;
Ask them: "What is more difficult - their creation or the rest ofOur creation? - Them We have created out of a sticky clay.
Likewise enjoin the believing women to lower their gaze and guardtheir modesty; not to display their beauty and ornaments exceptwhat normally appears thereof; let them draw their veils overtheir bosoms and not display their charms except to theirhusbands, their fathers, their fathers-in-law, their own sons, their stepsons, their own brothers, their nephews on eitherbrothers' or sisters' sides, their own womenfolk, their ownslaves, male attendants who lack sexual desires or small childrenwho have no carnal knowledge of women. Also enjoin them not tostrike their feet in order to draw attention to their hiddentrinkets. And O believers! Turn to Allah in repentance, all ofyou, about your past mistakes, so that you may attain salvation.
It is Allah Who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop,then He made you pairs. No female conceives or delivers withoutHis knowledge. No long-lived man grows old or has his life cutshort but is written in a Book; surely all this is easy forAllah.
Observe the orphans through testing their abilities until theyreach the age of marriage, then if you find them capable of soundjudgment, hand over to them their property; and do not consume itwastefully in haste lest they grow up to demand it. If theguardian is well-off, he should not take compensation from theorphan's property, but if he is poor let him take a just andreasonable remuneration. When you hand over their property tothem, call in some witnesses; even though Allah is sufficient intaking the accountability.
Nay! But you did not show kindness to the orphan,
Righteousness is not whether you turn your face towards East orWest; but the righteousness is to believe in Allah, the Last Day,the Angels, the Books and the Prophets, and to spend wealth outof love for Him on relatives, orphans, helpless, needytravellers, those who ask for and on the redemption of captives;and to establish Salah (prayers), to pay Zakah (alms), to fulfillpromises when made, to be steadfast in distress, in adversity, and at the time of war. These people are the truthful and theseare the pious.

who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love ofAllah,
saying: "We feed you for the sake of Allah Alone; we seek fromyou neither reward nor thanks,
for we dread from our Rabb's torment of a very distressful Day."
So Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and bestowon them freshness and joy,
and reward them, for their steadfastness with paradise andgarments of silk.
There they shall be reclining upon high couches; they shall feelneither the scorching heat nor the biting cold.
The trees of paradise will spread their shade around them, andtheir fruits will hang in clusters within their easy reach.
They shall be served with silver dishes, goblets of crystal,
and goblets made of crystal-clear silver, filled by theirattendants in due measure.
And they will also be given to drink a cup of wine mixed withZanjabil (ginger-flavored water),
from a fountain, called Salsabil.
They shall be attended by boys graced with eternal youth: whenyou see them, they would seem like sprinkled pearls.
And which ever direction you will look, you will see blessingsand the splendor of a great Kingdom.
They (the residents of paradise) shall be arrayed in the garmentsof fine green silk and rich brocade, and adorned with braceletsof silver, and their Rabb will give them pure wine to drink.
O believers, that's how you will be rewarded, and your endeavorsappreciated.

If the relatives, orphans or needy are present at the time of thedivision of an inheritance, give them something out of it, andspeak to them kind words.
Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in theirminds as they would have for their own if they were to leave ahelpless family behind: they should, therefore, fear Allah andspeak for justice.
Therefore, do not treat the orphan with harshness
Give orphans the property which belongs to them when they areable to handle it themselves and do not substitute your worthlessthings for their valuable ones; and do not cheat them of theirpossession through mixing it up with your own. For this wouldindeed be a great sin.
If you fear that you shall not be able to treat the orphans withfairness, then you should not marry the women with orphanchildren; marry other women of your choice: two, three or four. But if you fear that you will not be able to maintain justicebetween your wives, then marry only one or any slave girl you mayown. That will be more suitable , so that you may not deviatefrom the Right Way.
They ask your decision concerning the women. Tell them: Allahmakes His decision concerning them and along with it reminds youabout those commandments, recited to you in the Book (TheQur'an), relating to orphan girls to whom you do not give theirlawful rights and to whom you do not wish to marry. He alsoreminds you regarding the helpless children, and to stand firmfor justice to orphans. Whatever good you do, Allah surely knowsit.
Remember, We took a covenant (firm commitment) from the childrenof Israel: "You shall worship none but Allah; be good to yourparents, relatives, orphans and destitute, speak fair to thepeople, establish 'Salah', and pay 'Zakah.'" But you broke thecovenant, except a few of you, and you paid no heed.
Serve Allah and do not commit shirk (associate any partner) withHim, and be good to your parents, kinfolks, orphans, thehelpless, near and far neighbors who keep company with you, thetravellers in need, and the slaves you own. Allah does not lovethose who are arrogant and boastful,

At the time of marriage, give the women their dowries willinglyas an obligation; but if they, by their own free will, give up toyou a portion of it then you may enjoy it with pleasure.

Know that one-fifth of the booty (spoils of war) is for Allah,His Rasool, close relatives of the Rasool, orphans, the needy andthe wayfarer, if you do believe in Allah and in what We revealedto Our servant on the day of distinction (between right andwrong), the day when two armies met in combat. Allah has powerover everything.
They ask you what they should spend in charity. Say: "Whateveryou spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good youdo, Allah is aware of it.
You shall not go near the property of an orphan, except with thegood intention of improving it, until he attains his maturity. You shall fulfill your pledges; surely you shall be heldaccountable for your pledges.

Furthermore, not to go near the property of an orphan except inthe best way (to improve it). Until he attains maturity, givefull measure and just weight - We never charge a soul with morethan it can bear. this world and the hereafter. They ask you about orphans. Tellthem: "It is best to deal with them justly; you may becomeco-partners with them, after all they are your brethren; Allahknows who means harm and also who means their welfare. O believers! Let no men laugh at other men who may perhaps bebetter than themselves; and let no woman laugh at another woman, who may perhaps be better than herself. Do not defame throughsarcastic remarks about one another, nor call one another byoffensive nicknames. It is an evil thing to be called by a badname after being a believer, and those who do not repent are theones who are the wrongdoers.
also they are the ones who are patient, seek the pleasure oftheir Rabb, establish Salah, spend secretly and openly out of thesustenance which We have provided for them, and repel evil withgood - they are the ones for whom there is the home of thehereafter
- the Paradise of perpetual bliss: they will enter into it alongwith their righteous forefathers, their spouses and theirdescendants. The angels will come to welcome them from everyside,
saying: "Peace be upon you for all that you steadfastly enduredin the world. Now! How excellent will be the home of thehereafter!"
saying: "Peace be upon you for all that you steadfastly enduredin the world. Now! How excellent will be the home of thehereafter!"
It is He who has created all kinds of plants, trellised anduntrellised, the palm trees, the field crops with produce ofdifferent kinds, the olives and pomegranates, similar in kind yetdifferent in taste. Eat of their fruit in their season and giveaway their Zakah on the harvest day. Do not be spendthrift, surely He does not love the spendthrifts.
O Children of Adam! Put on your adornment (decent proper dress)when you attend your Masjid at the time of every prayer. Eat anddrink, but do not be extravagant; surely He does not love theextravagant.
O believers! Surely among your wives and your children there aresome who are your enemies: so beware of them. But if you pardon, overlook and forgive their faults, then know that Allah isForgiving, Merciful.
and surely to Us belong the end and the beginning.
Surely We shall try them as We tried the owners of the gardenwhen they swore that they would pluck its fruit the next morning,
without adding any reservation ( such as God willing).
So a calamity from your Rabb came down upon it while they slept,
and by the morning it lay as if it had been already harvested.
At daybreak they called out to one another,
saying: "Go out early to your crop, if you want to pick itsfruit."
So they went, whispering to one another:
"Let no needy person enter upon you in the garden today."
Thus they went out, fixed in their stingy resolve (not to giveany fruit to the poor people, as if they had the full controlover harvesting the fruit).
But when they saw the garden, they cried: "Surely we must havelost our way!
Nay, we have become destitute."
The most upright among them said: "Did I not tell you to glorifyAllah? Why did you not glorify Him?"
Then they said: "Glory be to our Rabb! Surely we were unjust,"
and they started blaming one another.
Finally they said: "Woe to us! Surely we had become rebellious.
It may be that our Rabb will give us in exchange a better gardenthan this: surely to our Rabb do we make our humble petition."
Such is the punishment in this life; but the punishment in theHereafter is even greater, if they but knew it.
