We decreed your former Qiblah only to distinguishthose who are the real followers of the Rasool from those whowould back away from the faith. It was indeed a hard test exceptfor those whom Allah has guided. Allah wants not to make yourfaith fruitless. Allah is Compassionate and Merciful to mankind.

Unbelievers

plot in vain

8 : 30

Remember how the unbelievers plotted against you. They sought totake you captive or kill you or exile you. They planned - andAllah also planned - Allah is the best planner of all.

despise revelation

8 : 31

Whenever Our revelations are recited to them they say: "Well, wehave heard this. If we wanted we could fabricate the like. Theseare nothing but the tales of the ancients."

challenge a Penalty

8 : 32

Also remember how they said: "O Allah! If this is indeed thetruth from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky orinflict some dreadful scourge to punish us."

prayers empty

8 : 35

Their prayer at the House of Allah is nothing but whistling andclapping of hands: whose only answer can be, "Taste thepunishment because of your denying the truth."

spend for wrong purposes

8 : 36

Surely the unbelievers spend their wealth in blocking the way ofAllah and so will they continue to spend; but in the end thesevery efforts will become the cause of their regrets; at lengththey will be defeated, and in the hereafter these unbelieverswill be gathered together and driven to hell,

past forgiven, if they repent

8 : 38

O Prophet, tell the unbelievers that if they desist from unbelieftheir past shall be forgiven; but if they persist in sin, letthem reflect upon the fate of their forefathers.

9 : 11

However, if they repent, establish Salah and pay Zakah, then theyshall be your brethren in Deen (faith and way of life based onDivine guidance): thus do We spell out Our revelations for peopleof understanding.

break covenants

8 : 56

Those who make treaties with you and time after time violatetheir treaties, and have no fear of Allah.

will not frustrate the godly

8 : 60

Muster against them all the military strength and cavalry thatyou can afford so that you may strike terror into the hearts ofthe enemy of Allah and of your, and others besides them who areunknown to you but known to Allah. Remember that whatever youwill spend in the cause of Allah, shall be paid back to you infull and you shall not be treated unjustly.

protect each other

8 : 73

The unbelievers are protectors of one of another. If you fail todo likewise, there will be disorder in the land and greatcorruption.

described

9 : 73

O Prophet! Make Jihad against the unbelievers and the hypocritesand be firm against them. Hell shall be their home; and it is theworst of all homes.

14 : 3

They are the ones who love the life of this world more than thehereafter, who debar others from the Way of Allah and seek tomake it crooked: they have gone far astray into error.

will wish they had believed

15 : 2

The Day will come when the unbelievers will wish that they wereMuslims.

to be covered with shame

16 : 27

Then on the Day of Judgment He will humiliate them and say:"Where are those deities you associated with Me concerning whomyou used to dispute with the true believers?" Those who have beengiven knowledge will say: "Today there will be shame and sorrowfor the unbelievers,"

dispute vainly

18 : 56

We send the Rasools only to proclaim good news and to give warnings but with false arguments the unbelievers seek to defeat the Truth, through mocking at My revelations and My warnings.

their efforts wasted

18 : 102

Do the unbelievers think that they can take my servants as protectors, to save themselves from Hell, instead of Me? Certainly We have prepared Hell for the entertainment of such unbelievers.

their arrogance

19 : 73

When Our Clear Revelations are recited to them the unbelieverssay to the believer: "Which one, of the two of us, have finedwelling and better companions?"

35 : 43

behaving arrogantly in the land and plotting evil, whereas theplotting of evil recoils none but the authors of it. Are theyawaiting for that end which overtook the former nations? If so,you shall find no change in the ways of Allah, nor will you findany alteration in Allah's way of dealing.

mutual recriminations at Judgment

34 : 31

The disbelievers say: "We shall never believe in this Qur'an, norin the scriptures which came before it." If you could only seewhen these wrongdoers will be made to stand before their Rabb, tossing accusing words on one another! Those who had beendespised as weaklings will say to the arrogant: "If it were notfor you, we would certainly have been believers."

self and separatism

38 : 2

And by the Qur'an which is full of admonition! Surely theunbelievers are in sheer arrogance and perverseness.

dispute about the Signs of God

40 : 4

None dispute the revelations of Allah but those who disbelieve;so let not their affluent activity in the land deceive you.

hate Truth

43 : 78

We have brought you the truth, but most of you hate the truth.

will turn back from fight

48 : 22

Even if the unbelievers had fought with you, they would have beenput to flight, and would have not found any protector or helper.

their high

48 : 25

They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from theMasjid-al-Haram (Sacred Mosque - Ka'bah) and prevented yourofferings from reaching their destination. Had there not beenbelieving men and believing women in the city of Makkah, whom youdid not know, and their possibility of being trampled under yourfeet and thus incurred unwitting guilt on their account. Allahwould have allowed you to fight, but He held back your hands, sothat He may admit to His mercy whom He will. Had the believersstood apart from them, We would certainly have punished thedisbelievers among them with painful punishment.

vain fancies

52 : 35

Were they created without a Creator? Or were they their owncreators?

give them not friendship but kind & just

60 : 1

O believers! Do not make friendship with those who are enemies ofMine and yours. Would you show them friendship, when they havedenied the truth that has come to you and have driven the Rasooland yourselves out of your homes, simply because you believe inAllah, your Rabb? If it was indeed to strive in My way, and toseek My good pleasure that you left your homes, how can youbefriend in secret? I know all that you conceal, and all that youreveal. Any of you who does this, he indeed has gone astray fromthe Right Way.

rush madly

70 : 36

What is the matter with the disbelievers that they are rushingtowards you,

Uncertainty

Faith, about

30 : 60

So O Prophet, have patience: surely the promise of Allah is true;and do not let those, who themselves have no certainty of faith, shake your firmness.

Underestimating

Muhammad(S)'s greatness

43 : 31

They also say: "Why is this Qur'an not revealed to a man of greatimportance in the two towns (Makkah and Ta'if)"?

43 : 32

Is it they who distribute the blessings of your Rabb? It is WeWho distribute the means of their livelihood in the life of thisworld, raising some in rank above others, so that one may takeothers into his service. But the blessing of your Rabb is fargreater in value than the wealth of this world which they amass.

Underestimating Allah

Underestimating Allah

39 : 67

They have not recognized the worth of Allah as his worth shouldbe recognized. On the Day of Resurrection the whole earth shallbe in His grasp and all the heavens shall be rolled up in Hisright hand. Glory be to Him! Exalted be He above what theyassociate with Him.

Understanding

Existence of The True God, the

23 : 79

- it is He Who has placed you in the earth and before Him youshall all be assembled on the Day of Judgement.

23 : 80

It is He Who gives life and cause you to die, and in His controlis the alternation of the night and the day: then why don't youunderstand?

23 : 81

On the contrary they just say what their forefathers said beforethem,

23 : 82

who said: "What! After death when our bodies become dust andbones, could we really be raised to life again?

23 : 83

We have heard many such threats and so did our forefathers beforeus. These are nothing but legends of primitive people."

23 : 84

Say: "To whom belong the earth and everything therein? Tell me ifyou know?"

23 : 85

They will promptly reply: "to Allah!" Ask them: "Then why youdon't use your common sense and believe in Him?"

23 : 86

Say: "Who is the Rabb of the seven heavens and the Rabb of theGlorious Throne?"

23 : 87

Right away they will say: "Allah." Ask them: "Then why you don'tfear Him?"

23 : 88

Say: "In whose hands is the sovereignty of all things, protectingall, while against Him there is no protection? Tell me if youknow."

23 : 89

Quickly they will reply: "Allah." Ask them: "Then how you can beso bewitched?"

23 : 90

The fact of the matter is that We have brought them the Truth, and undoubtedly these people are liars.

Quran, the

47 : 24

Will they not ponder upon the Qur'an? Are there locks upon theirhearts?

Restoring the wealth and property of orphans who are weak of

4 : 5

Do not entrust your property which Allah has made a means ofsupport for your family, to feebleminded people for investment inbusiness, however, provide such people with food and clothing andspeak to them nicely and give them good advice.

4 : 6

Observe the orphans through testing their abilities until theyreach the age of marriage, then if you find them capable of soundjudgment, hand over to them their property; and do not consume itwastefully in haste lest they grow up to demand it. If theguardian is well-off, he should not take compensation from theorphan's property, but if he is poor let him take a just andreasonable remuneration. When you hand over their property tothem, call in some witnesses; even though Allah is sufficient intaking the accountability.

Understanding Allah

Understanding Allah

6 : 91

Those people have not valued the attributes of Allah, the way Hisattributes should be valued, who say: "Allah has never revealedanything to a human being." Ask them: "Who then sent down theBook (Torah) which Musa brought, a light and guidance formankind? You have transcribed it on separate sheets, publishingsome and suppressing much of that given knowledge, which neitheryou nor your forefathers previously possessed." If they do notanswer, then just say: "Allah" and leave them alone with thediscourse of their useless arguments.

22 : 74

They do not render to Allah the homage due to Him; in fact, Allahis the One Who is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

Ungodliness

Ungodliness

16 : 33

Are these unbelievers waiting for the angels to come down to taketheir lives or the commandment of your Rabb to come to pass fortheir doom? So did those who went before them. It was not Allahwho was unjust to them, but they were unjust to themselves.

16 : 34

At the end, the evil results of their deeds overtook them, andthe very scourge at which they mocked, hemmed them in.

Unity Among Muslims

Unity Among Muslims

3 : 103

All together hold fast the rope of Allah (Faith of Islam) and benot divided among yourselves. Remember Allah's favors upon youwhen you were enemies; He united your hearts, so by His favor youbecame brethren; you were at the brink of the fiery pit and Hesaved you from it. Thus Allah makes His revelations clear to you,so that you may be rightly guided.

Universe

The expanding

21 : 30

Have not the unbelievers ever considered that the skies and theearth were once one mass, then We split them asunder? And We havecreated every living thing from water. Will they still notbelieve?

30 : 39

That usury which you give to increase the wealth of people, doesnot increase with Allah: but the Zakah that you give to seek thepleasure of Allah, shall be repaid to you many times over.

Making lawful in the Religion of Allah things that are

42 : 21

Have they made shoraka' (partners with Allah) who, in thepractice of their faith, have made lawful to them what Allah hasnot allowed?
