Sahih Muslim Book - 15, Hadith - 2978
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنِى عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ تَمَتَّعْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَلَمْ يَنْزِلْ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ. قَالَ رَجُلٌ بِرَأْيِهِ مَا شَاءَ.
It was narrated that Imran bin Al-Husain [may Allah be pleased with them] said: “We performed Tamatttu with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and no Quran (ayat) was revealed concerning that. And it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about it.”
