It was narrated from Muhammad bin Yahya that his paternal uncle Wasi' bin Habban said: "I was praying in the Masjid and 'Abdullah bin 'Umar was leaning with his back towards the Qiblah. When I had finished my prayer, I came to him from one side and 'Abdullah said: 'The people are saying that when you sit to relieve yourself, do not sit facing towards the Qiblah nor towards Bait Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).' 'Abdullah said: 'I went up on the roof of a house and I saw the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) sitting on two bricks, facing towards Jerusalem, relieving himself."'
