Sahih Muslim Book - 36, Hadith - 5144
وحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالاَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، وَعِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ ، وَعُقْبَةَ بْنِ التَّوْأَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:الْخَمْرُ مِنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجَرَتَيْنِ: الْكَرْمَةِ وَالنَّخْلَةِ. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ: الْكَرْمِ وَالنَّخْلِ.
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Khamr comes from these two trees, the grapevine and the date palm."'
