وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ. غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : فَقَالَ : يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَلاَ تَكُنْ ، يَا ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، عَذَابًا عَلَى أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مِنْ قَوْلِ عُمَرَ : سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَمَا بَعْدَهُ.
It was narrated from Talhah bin Yahya with this chain of narrators, except that he said: "He said: 'O Abul-Mundhir, did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)?' He said: 'Yes, so do not be a torment to the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w), O son of Al-Khattab."' And he did not mention the word of 'Umar; "Subhan Allah," etc.
