Sahih Muslim Book - 43, Hadith - 6060

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ حِطَّانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ كُرِبَ لِذَلِكَ وَتَرَبَّدَ وَجْهُهُ.

It was narrated that ‘Ubadah bin As-Samit said: “When the Revelation came upon the Prophet of Allah (s.a.w), he would feel anxious because of that, and his face would change color.”
