حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- إِذَا سَلَّمَ لَمْ يَقْعُدْ إِلاَّ مِقْدَارَ مَا يَقُولُ « اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ ». وَفِى رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ « يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ ».
It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "When the Prophet (s.a.w) had said the Salam, he only sat for as long as it takes to say: 'Allahumma antas-Salamu wa minkas-salamu tabarakta dhal-jalali wal-ikram (O Allah, You are As-Salam (the One Who is free from all defects and deficiencies) and from You is all peace, blessed are You, Possessor of majesty and honor.)"' According to the report of Ibn Numair (the Prophet (s.a.w) said): ''Ya dhal-jalali wal-ikram (O Possessor of majesty and honor.)"
