Sunan of Abu Dawood Book 2, Hadith 849
Grade : Hasan Maqtu (Al-Albani)
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ لاَ يَقُولُ الْقَوْمُ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ وَلَكِنْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ .
‘Amir said:The people behind the imam should not say: "Allah listens to him who praises Him." But they should say: " Our Lord, to Thee be the praise."
