Tirmidhi Book 47, Hadith 3280
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى 9 فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى 10 سورة النجم آية 9-10، وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى 13 عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى 14 سورة النجم آية 13-14 ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: قَدْ رَآهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.
Narrated Abu Salamah: from Ibn 'Abbas regarding Allah's saying: And indeed he saw him at a second descent. Near Sidrat Al-Muntaha (53:13 & 14). So He revealed to His worshiper whatever he revealed (53:10). And was a distance of two bow lengths or less (53:9). Ibn 'Abbas said: The Prophet (ﷺ) saw Him.
