قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوٓا۟ أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَـٰكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَكُم ۖ بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ Qur’an Saba (34:32)

Q a la alla th eena istakbaroo lilla th eena istu d AAifoo ana h nu s adadn a kum AAani alhud a baAAda i th j a akum bal kuntum mujrimeen a

[And] those who were wont to glory in their arrogance will say unto those who had been weak: "Why - did we keep you [forcibly] from following the right path after it had become obvious to you?⁴⁰ Nay, it was but you [yourselves] who were guilty!"

The arrogant will say to those despised weaklings: "Did we block you off from guidance when it came to you? Nay! Rather you yourselves were guilty."

The arrogant will respond to the lowly, 'Did we ever hinder you from guidance after it came to you? In fact, you were wicked 'on your own'.'
