وَقَالُوا۟ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَذْهَبَ عَنَّا ٱلْحَزَنَ ۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ Qur’an Fatir (35:34)
Waq a loo al h amdu lill a hi alla th ee a th haba AAann a al h azana inna rabban a laghafoorun shakoor un
and they will say: "All praise is due to God, who has caused all sorrow to leave us: for, verily, our Sustainer is indeed much-forgiving, ever-responsive to gratitude

They will say: "Praise be to Allah Who has removed all sorrow from us; Our Rabb is indeed Forgiving and appreciative of His devotees.

Cf. above. xxxv. 30. Note how beautifully the argument is rounded off. In verse 30 they were told that "Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate service". Now they have reached the Goal, and they have found the Promise profoundly true. All their hopes are fulfilled, and their sorrows ended.
